“Grey’s was created with the idea that great restaurants should be about more than what is on the menu. I wanted to build a place that brings people together and adds new energy to a corner of the ByWard Market that has meant so much to Ottawa for decades. Every part of Grey’s, from the space and menu to the atmosphere, was designed to make people feel welcome and excited to return.”

Abbis Mahmoud is an Ottawa entrepreneur with decades of experience across hospitality, dining, entertainment and real estate. As Founder and President of Dreammind Group, he has created and supported a diverse collection of local venues, each with its own distinct identity and experience.
His work is rooted in a commitment to thoughtful hospitality, memorable spaces and continued investment in the Ottawa community. Beyond his business ventures, Abbis is actively involved in local charitable initiatives through the Dreammind Foundation.
